The Army Research Lab required the procurement of one (1) piezo-frequency-modulated, low-frequency-noise fiber laser that meets the following minimum requirements: The system shall have a wavelength of 1549.72 nanometer (nm) with a variance of +/- 0.05nm The system shall generate a Power Out greater than or equal to (>=) 40 (milliwatt) mW The system shall provide a linewidth less than (<) 200 (hertz) Hz at 5mS and be less than (<) 1 Hz Lorenzian The system shall have a Relative Intensity Noise (RIN) of less than (<) -130 dBc (above the carrier level) /Hz at 1 megahertz (MHz) The system shall be able to tune greater than (>)14 gigahertz (GHz) Modehop Free Pietzo (PZT) tuning and >20 GHz thermal tuning The system shall have a linear polarized output with FC/APC PM fiber connector greater than (>)23 decibels (dB) extinction The system shall have a frequency bandwidth greater than 10 kilohertz (kHz) The Contractor shall include shipping and deliver FOB destination to the following location no later than four (4) months After Contract Award (ACA) Army Research Laboratory 2800 Powder Mill Road Adelphi, MD 20783 Please see attached Salient Characteristics and Sources Sought for additional information.
