This Sources Sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. Objective: To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. B. Salient Characteristics The Contractor shall provide quantity one (1) unit Phase Laser Doppler for fluid particle size distribution measurement with the following minimum specifications: 1. Detector and emitter unit shall fit into a volume of fifteen inches (15 in.) x ten inches (10 in.) x 5 inches (5 in.) 2. Able to measure one micron (1 ?m) diameter or larger particle size, up to size of fifty microns (50 ?m) 3. Able to measure particles in both a single stream and a cloud distribution. 4. Able to make measurement where the particles are traveling at linear speed of one hundred meters per second (100 m/s) 5. Unit comes with control unit and build in analysis program for particle size distribution. 6. Qty one (1) live remote training session via internet to setup and run the unit 7.
