Sources Sought Notice for: Capabilities to Manufacture XM35 Cradle Broaching and Fixturing The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Warren (ACC-WRN) WVA Contracting Office located at Watervliet Arsenal (WVA) is conducting a market survey to identify potential capable sources for the manufacture of Broaches and Fixture for the XM 35 Cradle THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This is a request for information on capabilities and interest and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP); submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary and the U.S. Government (USG) assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. Data submitted in response to this market survey will not be returned. ITEM DESCRIPTION: 1. Broaching is to be completed in a maximum of 6ea passes. 2. Broach Bars and fixtures must be compatible with current WVA equipment, or with minor adjustments as directed by the company. 3. Must be able to provide all required equipment to WVA within six (6) months if a future contract was executed. 4. The company is to provide a minimum of one (1) work week onsite with WVA to assist in the loading onto the machine and initial setup after receipt of all equipment. 5. One (1) full set of assembled broach bars and cutters are to be provided. 6. One (1) full set of spare cutters are to be provided. 7. One (1) broach fixture is to be provided. 8. Each Pass will have its own protective container and clearly marked for "XM35 Cradle 11580321 Broach Set Pass X of 6". 9. Each Pass spare cutters will have its own protective container and clearly marked for "XM35 Cradle 11580321 Cutters for Pass X of 6". 10. Drawings 11580328 Guide RH, 11580327 Guide LH, 11580641 Rotor, 11580321 Cradle Weldment, 11580310 Cradle Finish Machine to be provided as necessary. 11. Guide LH 11580327 is machined per the "Alternative Method of Manufacture" called out on the drawing prior to welding into the Cradle Weldment. 12. Broaches are to broach the Guides LH and RH per the dimensional requirement show on 11580310 SHT 1 E1/E3 & SHT 2 D4/D6. 13. Drawings of components will be supplied for process development 14. This is a rough outline of required capabilities to be able to manufacture components listed above. INTERESTED PARTIES. The Government requests interested parties to submit a company brochure (if available) and a tailored capability statement for these requirements that clearly details the ability to perform the aspects of the notice described above. All proprietary information should be marked as such. The description should also include any anticipated needs for sub-tier Responses will be reviewed by U.S. Army Contracting Command - Warren (ACC-WRN) (WVA), Watervliet Arsenal and the US Army personnel only and will be held in a confidential manner. Any and all information provided shall include a description of the proposed manufacturing capabilities. Submitted documentation will not be returned.
