Watervliet Arsenal - Sale of Scrap - Gun Butts
The U.S. Government is selling approximately 1,000,000 pounds of "gun butt" scrap metal, as-is and by the pound, from the Watervliet Arsenal in New York. The successful contractor must pay the full sale price via pay.gov within five days of receiving an invoice and before removing the scrap, with final payment adjusted if the actual weight varies. The contractor is responsible for providing covered roll-off dumpsters and for all freight and shipping costs, while the Arsenal's personnel will oversee and perform the loading. Removal must be scheduled after the award and can only occur during specified business hours at the Arsenal. This is an "all or nothing" sale, and the high offeror is contractually bound to pay for and remove all the material.
