Watervliet Arsenal (WVA) requires the installation of one new Guided Boring Machine used to produce large gun tubes at its Watervliet, NY facility. The items produced by this machine will be fielded by DoD Components and Foreign Military Sales customers worldwide. ***Amendment 0003 incorporates a few specification changes following the 6 August 2019 Site Visit. Please refer to this Amendment and the Questions and Answers sheet posted with it for more information.*** This is a Full-and-Open Competition Requirement. All offerors registered in SAM and FBO can bid. All Offers must be submitted through the FedBizOpps Bid Submission Interface to be considered for award. Due to the technical nature of this requirement, questions will only be acccepted via e-mail to the Contract Specialist. The submisssion of extensive technical information is required to be considered for award. Please review the Solicitation Package in its entirety for response instructions, as well as important terms and conditions. This machine must be furnished with one or more brand-name subcomponents to ensure compatibility with equipment and processes already in use at WVA. Offerors are encouraged to identify and research these requirements at the earliest stages of proposal creation. This requirement is part of an ongoing modernization initiative at WVA.
