NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Letterkenny Army Depot intends to issue a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price supply contract to procure one (1) control upgrade for all seven (7) cooling units at temperature test chamber at Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) from Weiss Technik of North America Inc, formerly known as Cincinnati Sub Zero (CSZ), the OEM, 12011 Mosteller Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, CAGE Code: 8NC73. The Government does not possess the technical data package (TDP). The TDP is proprietary to the original manufacturer Weiss Technik of North America Inc. A Purchase Description will be provided with the solicitation. The contract will be a one-time procurement. The procurement will be sole source. The 2017 North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 334512 – Automatic Environmental Control Manufacturing for residential, Commercial, the size standard is 500 and the Federal Supply Code (FSC) is 6636- Environmental Chambers and Related Equipment. This will be Freight On Board (FOB) destination to Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA 17201-4150. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of the Simplified Acquisition Procedures at 41 U.S.C. 1901, as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 13.5. Solicitation number W911N2-21-Q-0027 will be released on or about May 11, 2021, with a closing date on or about May 18, 2020. The annotated closing date for the solicitation is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the release of the solicitation. The solicitation will not close prior to the annotated closing date. All interested sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by this agency.
