This specification establishes a requirement for corrective maintenance support for the electric motors located at Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama. The maintenance coverage shall be for a one-year base period. Repair, rewind, test, and replace motors. Contractor shall provide but it not limited to the following services on all motors unless otherwise noted. 1) Shaft balance and runout shall meet OEM specifications. 2) Phase balance shall meet OEM specification (3 phase electric motors). 3) Windings shall be tested to ensure no grounds (earth faults), short circuits, open circuits, incorrect connections, or high resistance connections. 4) Connections which are made by crimping, soldering, brazing, or welding shall use materials that have an adequate conductivity and are mechanically strong enough to withstand the normal operating conditions.
