The purpose of this amendment is to change the unit of issue from Drum to Gallon on CLIN 0001 through CLIN 0005. This solicitation establishes the use of an alkaline chemical to: (1) primarily remove rust on ferrous and stainless materials and (2) be a first step in the cleaning process. This is for the turbine engine shop and for the plating lines in Building 114. This process is an immersion process that uses house compressed air for agitation and may cause the need for a de-foamant for foam control in the vat. The vat is heated with steam heat and can reach temperatures in excess of 200?F for extended periods of time. This requirement is for one year with the potential for an annual renewal for up to four additional years.
