CARBIDE INSERTS SOLICITATION Manufacturers, part numbers and descriptions listed on Carbide Inserts Contract Requirements Excel spreadsheet are the actual inserts currently used in the shop at ANAD. Not all carbide inserts in the carbide insert industry are ISO[FKBMT1] [MCDCUA2] (International Organization for Standardization) compatible, which means some manufacturer’s inserts, may not work on other manufacturer’s insert holders. The inserts provided on this contract must be an “equal” to the inserts and must “fit” the tool holders currently being used at ANAD. Contractors must complete the Carbide Insert Requirements Pricelist spreadsheet with the proposed insert manufacturer and part number listed next to the existing manufacturer and part number on the spreadsheet. The contractor shall supply only the items agreed upon in the original contract; to include carbide inserts manufacturer and identification numbers, unless approved by Contracting Officer. The contractor shall warrant each product against defects in accordance with commercial practices. The contractor, at no cost to Anniston Army Depot, shall replace defective items in full within seven calendar days after notification by ANAD personnel. The contractor may not substitute any item without approval from the Contracting Officer.
