This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. Summary of Services: This specification establishes a requirement for the re-certification of the FARO® equipment located at the Anniston Army Depot. This equipment includes four (4) FARO Arms (portable coordinate measuring machine using touch probe), the FARO Laser Line Probe (scanner), and three (3) FARO Laser Trackers (portable coordinate measuring machine using laser). This will include a yearly calibration that is required for these assets as well as replacement of any parts deemed necessary. Anniston Army Depot will be responsible for shipment of the equipment to the Contractor. Contractor shall then be responsible for shipping charges for returning the equipment. Shipping charges shall be included in the certification price for all assets. It is the goal to have the equipment serviced in 7-14 days of receipt. Salient Features: 1. Annual certification/calibration will be performed for each item of FARO equipment. This certification will include annual calibration, parts, labor and return shipping. 2. The contractor shall not proceed with any verbal or written change(s) to this scope of work from sources other than the Contracting Officer (KO), who will provide changes in writing. 3. The standard warranty for all of the FARO equipment includes annual calibration, parts, labor and return shipping. 4. Once certification/calibration is completed for each equipment, ANAD shall receive an annual certification certificate upon renewal. 5. All FARO assets will be under warranty for a period of one (1) year beginning on the awarded date of the contract. The Anniston Army Depot is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, and small business concerns. Small business concerns are defined under the associated North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this 811310-Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance: Size Standard is $7.5M. Please include your company's size classification and socio-economic status in any response to this notice. Responses to this notice must be submitted electronically to Katherine Fuller, Katherine.b.fuller2.civ@mail.mil, (telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged). "ANNUAL SERVICE/CALIBRATION OF FARO EQUIPMENT" must appear in the subject line of the email or it will be deleted and not read. Responses must be received no later than 6 March 2019 at 10:00 A.M. CDT. Interested vendors are requested to submit a statement of the capabilities of their organization with respect to the government's Request for Information. Responses should include: 1. Prospective firm's name, address, phone number, socioeconomic status and DUNS number 2. General information of firm's previous experience on at least two projects of a similar scope, complexity and value; including the title, location, brief description of work, and dollar value Responses should be "short and to-the-point." This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
