This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. Summary of Services: This specification establishes a requirement for the rebuild/recondition of three (3) Caterpillar Wheeled Loaders located at Anniston Army Depot (ANAD), Anniston, Alabama. The three (3) Caterpillar Wheeled Loader models are 1 each of the following, 980H, 980G and 927H. The three (3) Caterpillar Wheeled Loaders shall be rebuilt/reconditioned to like new condition in accordance with the requirements as listed below. ANAD is requesting the offeror is authorized, in writing by Caterpillar to complete this requirement. OEM certified parts shall be used to complete the required work. Only one (1) machine is to be rebuilt/reconditioned at a time. All parts must meet Caterpillars reusability guidelines, if not they must be replaced. The Contractor shall provide all parts, tools, labor, documentation and materials necessary to perform the services required by the terms of this contract. Contractor will be responsible for the transportation of machines to and from their facility. Contractor shall have a certified technician on-site at the time of delivery. Maintenance shall include the following: A. Cleaning of the machine B. Disassembly of the entire machine C. Replace and inspect all components so the meet original OEM specifications D. Recondition, salvage and paint main-frame E. Recondition final drives F. Recondition transmission G. Recondition torque convertor, pump, and cooler H. Recondition engine I. Recondition radiator and guard J. Recondition hydraulic system K. Recondition brakes L. Recondition operator station M. Recondition body N. Recondition hydraulic cylinders O. Replace all wiring harnesses P. Re-assemble machine Q. Paint machine R. Test machine S. Install all guards T. Returned to Anniston Army Depot in 100% operational condition The Anniston Army Depot is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, and small business concerns. Small business concerns are defined under the associated North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance : Size Standard is $7.5M. Please include your company's size classification and socio-economic status in any response to this notice. "WHEELED LOADER MAINTENANCE" must appear in the subject line of the email or it will be deleted and not read. Responses must be received no later than 5 February 2018 at 10:00 A.M. CDT. Interested vendors are requested to submit a statement of the capabilities of their organization with respect to the government's Request for Information. Responses should include: 1. Prospective firm's name, address, phone number, socioeconomic status and DUNS number 2. General information of firm's previous experience on at least two projects of a similar scope, complexity and value; including the title, location, brief description of work, and dollar value Responses should be "short and to-the-point." This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
