The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is conducting a market-intelligence RFI for two planned Military Construction projects at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, with anticipated use of Other Transaction Agreements. The Coal Thaw Shed Extension would add about 8,439 square feet for heated coal-car storage/thawing at the CHPP, with an estimated magnitude of about $20.8 million and a current schedule of design start in FY27, construction start no earlier than FY29, and period of performance FY27–FY30. The Loop Fire Station would construct a 14,440-square-foot fire/crash rescue station, a 48,400-square-foot power check pad, and a gun buttress, with an estimated magnitude of about $37 million and a current schedule of design start in FY27, construction start in FY29, and period of performance FY27–FY34. The Government anticipates an OT Agreement for each project, with the final delivery method undetermined and potentially Progressive Design-Build or Construction Manager at Risk. Market-intelligence responses will inform the delivery method, acquisition approach, and project-specific terms, and this announcement is not a solicitation.
