The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is conducting market research for a potential project to repair two rubble mound breakwaters at Bar Point Harbor in Ketchikan, Alaska. The work includes removing and replacing armor and quarry run rock with larger material, raising the breakwater crests, and adjusting cross-sections, with the contractor furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials. The project is estimated to cost between $25 million and $100 million and will be a firm-fixed-price contract. The work period is anticipated to run from on or after August 13, 2027, through no later than July 31, 2029, with an estimated award date of August 2027. Interested firms must be registered in SAM and capable of securing performance and payment bonds.
