The... SOURCES SOUGHT: This notice is market research to support inclusion of sole source (brand name) specification in Missile Field 1 Expansion, Fort Greely, Alaska. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska intends to specify the below listed items as part of a larger construction contract to be executed on Fort Greely, Alaska. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement, for the specific items listed below, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR 6.302-1(c), “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - Application for brand name descriptions.” Items: Alerton DDC Controller model VLX-Platinum (33519) - The Missile Defense Complex’s existing system in the Readiness and Control Facility and all control and monitoring system components must be able to communicate with one another. ASCO Automatic Transfer Switch model J 7ACTS 3 260 N5XC (NAICS 335313) – The Missile Defense Complex’s existing system in the Readiness and Control Facility and all electrical system components must be able to work within equipment ratings and fit into the space allotted. Equipment WCR rating and physical size to fit within existing space and meet available fault currents make it so this specific model of automatic transfer switch will meet the MDA mission for Missile Field #1 Expansion. SquareD Switchgear Power Breaker (NAICS 335313) - Existing breakers are 400A trip sensors and not field modifiable to 250A trip sensors. Maximum protection for the automatic transfer switch equipment requires a 250A trip NW breaker to reduce the non-adjustable instantaneous override setting from 42kA to 25kA to meet equipment ratings. Sentrol Balanced Magnetic Switch model 2507AH-L (NAICS 334290)- The Missile Defense Complex’s existing security system in the Readiness and Control Facility and devices connected to the systems must be able to effectively communicate with the individual building security panels and the existing head end workstations. Vindicator Intrusion Detection Panel model UHS-1500 (NAICS 334290) - Vindicator Intrusion Detection Panel must be installed to ensure effective communication with the existing security system in the Readiness and Control Facility along with those in the other Mechanical Electrical Buildings. THIS NOTICE IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be available as these sole source items will be incorporated into the specifications of Missile Field 1 Expansion, Fort Greely, Alaska solicitation. Vendors who offer the above items which can meet all of the above functional criteria are invited to respond to this notice. Responses must include the following information: Identification of the manufacturer’s name, address, and country of product manufacture. Fully detailed specification sheets.
