Offer or proposals will not be accepted for this notice. This solicitation will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside Procurement. Any resulting contract will be firm-fixed priced. The solicitation for this project will be available by INTERNET ACCESS ONLY and the anticipated download availability date for this solicitation will be on or about 16 June 2021. The determination of acquisition strategy for this acquisition lies solely with the government and will be based on this market research and information available to the government from other sources. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is conducting this market research to identify firms which have the capability to perform the following work: DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project is to repair the Tanana sill protection groin at the Chena River Lakes Flood Control Project near North Pole, Alaska. The Tanana sill groin is a rock revetment that protects a sheet pile sill in the floodway of the Chena Flood Control Project from the Tanana River. After its construction in 1979, the sill protection groin has been subject to erosion by the changing course of the Tanana River. The scope of this project is to procure, transport and place up to 100,000 tons of rip rap on the Tanana sill groin toe and slope. The rip rap gradation will conform to Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities gradation for Class IV rip rap. The Contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision and other items and/or services necessary to accomplish the work. Construction wage rates will apply. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, Heavy and Other Civil Construction, and the related size standard is $39.5 Million.
