Scope of Work The contractor shall order of a 4.9 mg Cf-252 source from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), source acquisition from ORNL, source encapsulation by contractor, source delivery to the NIST, and finally return of the transportation container back to contractor. Work Requirements Upon contract acceptance, the contractor is responsible for placing an order for a 4.9 mg Cf-252 source from ORNL prior to the 1 August 2022 ORNL deadline for source request. Once placed on order, the contractor will monitor and update WSTC with the status of the Cf-252 order from ORNL. ORNL will make the 4.9 mg Cf-252 source sometime in Fiscal Year 2023, with quarterly deliverables to its customers. Once the Cf-252 source is made by ORNL, the contractor shall be responsible for the shipment of the raw material to contractor location. The contractor shall receive the raw Cf-252 material and encapsulate the source in a Type A source container. Upon completion of the Cf-252 encapsulation, the contractor shall ship the finished source to NIST using a Type A shipping container. Shipment will be made to the following NIST address: Attn: Radiation Safety Division NIST Building 245, Room H113 100 Bureau Drive Gaithersburg, MD 20899 Following acceptance of the Cf-252 source from NIST, the contractor shall be responsible for the return of their Type A shipping container. Milestones Contract in place between WSTC and Contractor: 1 July 2022 Order placed between Contractor and ORNL: 1 August 2022 Order delivered to Contractor: FY 2023 Order delivered to NIST: FY 2023
