Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a PRE?SOLICITATION NOTICE for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to replace AC and Chiller Unit Building 5764, Fort Hood, TX. This includes the removal and replacement of the existing chiller with a new chiller. The removal and replacement of AHU’s and the removal and replacement of electrical and controls that are associated the new HVAC equipment. This acquisition is 100% Women Owned Small Business set aside under NAICS 238220- Plumbing, Heating, and Air- Conditioning Contractors (Size Standard $16.5 Million). The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, TX. The Wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX20210230 01/01/2021, Superseded General Decision Number: TX20200230; State: Texas; Construction Type: Buildings: Bell County in Texas, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. A tentative organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement to be determined (TBD). Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation. The tentative dates for issuing, the solicitation is 13 July 2021, bid opening 13 Aug 2021 and completing contract performance 210 days after contract award. The technical exhibits will be available for inspection without charge thru the Government wide Point of Entry (betaSAM https://beta.SAM.gov/). No paper copies of this solicitation are available.
