Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a PRE?SOLICITATION NOTICE for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract for Communication Infrastructure Upgrade: The purpose of this project is to upgrade Fiber Optic Infrastructure Communication on Ft. Hood. This acquisition is 100% Total Small Business set aside under NAICS 238210 (Size Standard $16.5 Million). The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, TX. The Wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX20220230 02/25/2022, Superseded General Decision Number: TX20210230; State: Texas; Construction Type: Buildings: Bell County in Texas, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. A tentative organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement to be determined (TBD). Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation. The tentative dates for issuing, the Solicitation is 2 June 2022; Bid Opening tentative date is 7 July 2022. Contract performance will be within specified times listed on the solicitation designated for the award. The technical exhibits will be available for inspection without charge thru the Government wide Point of Entry (https://beta.SAM.gov/). No paper copies of this solicitation are available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to all documents.
