Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a SOLICITATION for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to renovate/repair building 14008 to include, but not limited to, installation of EIFS onto exterior brick, demolition and construction of new walls, reconfiguration of floor layout, reconfiguration of latrines, replacement of finishes, and infrastructure changes/upgrades to better serve the facility and its user. Also included in this project is site work to meet accessibility standards, as well as disposing of old/abandoned slabs/equipment pads in Building 14008 Fort Hood, Texas. This acquisition is 100% Total Small Business set aside under NAICS 236220 (Size Standard $39.5 Million). The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The purpose of this project is to renovate/repair building 14008 to include, but not limited to, installation of EIFS onto exterior brick, demolition and construction of new walls, reconfiguration of floor layout, reconfiguration of latrines, replacement of finishes, and infrastructure changes/upgrades to better serve the facility and its user. Also included in this project is site work to meet accessibility standards, as well as disposing of old/abandoned slabs/equipment pads. The contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in this contract, all work shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, TX. The Wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX20200230 01/03/2020 Superseded General Decision Number: TX20190230; State: Texas; Construction Type: Building; County: Bell County in Texas, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. An organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement on 8 July 2020, 202020 at 1:00 P.M. CDT. Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation.
