As 10 Aug 2020, a) The purpose of this Amendment is to revise drawings and provide responses to Request for Information from industry. The revised drawings added two (2) more sheets. Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to renovate BLDG 19032 to better facilitate the user’s work requirements. This includes, but is not limited to: demolition and construction of new walls, reconfiguration of the office/classroom spaces, repair of the existing latrines, construction of a shower room, and various infrastructure upgrades to support these changes. Also included is the reconfiguration of the fire suppression system and installation of new Mass Notification systems. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all required licenses and permits to perform construction work on a Federal installation, be properly bonded and insured in accordance with FAR requirements. The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in this contract, all work shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, TX. The Wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX20200230 01/03/2020 TX230 Superseded General Decision Number: TX20190230; State: Texas; Construction Type: Building; County: Bell County, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000 whichever is less. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. A tentative organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement on a date to be determined after posting of solicitation. Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation. The tentative dates for issuing the solicitation is 10 July 2020, bid opening TBD and completing contract performance 180 days after notice to proceed under solicitation number W91151-20-B-0017. The technical exhibits will be available for inspection without charge thru the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) at www.fbo.gov. No paper copies of this solicitation are available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to all documents.
