Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to replacing the existing HVAC systems to include all associated units, piping, and controls with new HVAC systems at building 70004. The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in this contract, all work shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, TX. The Wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX20200230 01/03/2020 TX230 Superseded General Decision Number: TX20190230; State: Texas; Construction Type: Building; County: Bell County, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000 whichever is less. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. A tentative organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement on a date to be determined after posting of solicitation. Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation. The tentative dates for issuing the solicitation is 19 June 2020, bid opening TBD and completing contract performance 180 days after notice to proceed under solicitation number W91151-20-B-0014. The technical exhibits will be available for inspection without charge thru the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) at www.fbo.gov. No paper copies of this solicitation are available.
