Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a SOLICITATION for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to replace HVAC systems on the 2nd and 3rd floor of Building 1001, Fort Hood, Texas. This includes but is not limited to demolition and replacement of air handling units (AHU) 7 through 14 and return fans (RF) 7 through 14. There will also be minor replacement of ductwork, piping, valves, controls and electrical. This acquisition is 100% Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) set aside under NAICS 238220 (Size Standard $15 Million). The magnitude of the procurement is estimated to be between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Also included is miscellaneous site work to support the facility and meet code requirements. The contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in this contract, all work shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, TX. The Wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX190230 01/04/2019 TX230 Superseded General Decision Number: TX20180279; State: Texas; Construction Type: Building; County: Bell County in Texas, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. An organized site visit will be conducted for this procurment on July 3, 2019 at 2:00pm CST. Details will be availble in this solicitation.
