Software-Defined Radio/Transceiver is used by the Communications Security Monitoring and Red Team CEMA sections to provide vulnerability assessment of cellular and radio assets to requesting commanders in support of Red Team and Mission Assurance Missions. Electronic Warfare Section and Communication Security (COMSEC) are able to evaluate, directional find, or process cell phone technologies through signal frequencies. The current system lacks the ability to capture current/newer frequencies to include Long-Term Evolution (LTE) frequencies used by cellular companies.
