IMPORTAN NOTE: This is sources sought announcement only and the purpose of this notice is to conduct market research. The Government reserves the right to cancel this RFI and may or not issuing a solicitation for this requirement. This notice does not obligate the Government to pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Osan Chapel Office located in South Korea needs a Protestant Religious Education Coordinator (RE) Scope of Work The Protestant RE Coordinator plans and conducts a comprehensive religious education program at Osan Air Base Chapel, Osan Air Base Chapel Annex or other location on Osan Air Base as designated by the Contract Representative. The Protestant RE Coordinator duties includes: Develop and implement programs, goals, policies, and procedures for all religious education programs including children and adults. These programs include: Sunday school, Children's church for each worship service, Vacation Bible School, Parent and teacher training, Bible studies and seasonal programs (Christmas and Easter programs). In coordination with the Contract Officer Representative or Senior Faith Group Chaplain, some program requirements, such as Vacation Bible School, may be fulfilled by identifying appropriate opportunities available in the local civilian community. These exceptions will be approved by the Senior Faith Group Chaplain; perform administrative tasks such as preparing publicity material, ordering curriculum and supplies, updating Protestant RE Coordinator continuity file, evaluating program effectiveness, and developing an RE annual calendar of events and RE budget. Protestant RE Coordinator tracks monthly attendance and submits the attendance figures monthly to the Senior Faith Group Chaplain or designee and provides metrics regarding the service of volunteers in the program to Chapel staff also on a monthly basis; submit all facility, funds, and material requests to the Contract Officer Representative or designee for coordination and processing. The Protestant RE Coordinator will follow unit procedures for the receipt and disbursement of funds and equipment; inventories, stocks and maintains all materials furnished by the government for the program; Obtain information necessary to conduct background investigations from all volunteers who have direct contact with children under the age of 18 years. Ensures the background investigations are completed prior to allowing volunteers to work with children under the age of 18 years. Qualifications: -Have documented and verifiable experience of at least one year working in an administrative office environment. Must have superior organization and planning skills. -Experience in a Religious Education Program, prefer experience as a Protestant/Gospel Religious Education Coordinator in a military chapel setting or as a Director of Christian Education in a local Church. -Ability to function as a team member in a pluralistic environment working with chaplains, staff, contractors, and volunteers from a variety of Catholic Christian backgrounds. -Possesses basic word-processing skills. Prefer experience in using Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel. -A federal background check shall be performed as the contractor will have contact with individuals under the age of 18. This is directed by DoDI 1402.5, Criminal History Background Checks on Individuals in Child Care Services. Details Performance Statement of Work (PWS) will be provided in the solicitation. Place of Performance: Osan Air Base South Korea Period of Performance: 12 Months with the starting date one week from the date of award.
