The purpose of Amendment 01 is to provide answers to the questions received. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis/solicitation is a Request for Proposal (RFP), W909MY-22-R-0010. The small size standard is $41.5M for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 812332. The Government contemplates an award of a Firm Fixed Priced purchase order contract resulting from this solicitation. The U.S. Army intends to procure purchase order on a firm fixed price basis for rental of walk-in/walk-off entrance mats for buildings located in the U.S. Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center, Research and Technology Integration Directorate (RTI) , Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The period of performance is one 12 month base period and four 12 month option periods. This requirement is set aside for small businesses within the DC Metropolitan area able to service Fort Belvoir, VA. All mats shall be one solid dark color in an unobtrusive hue (ie, no neon, no bright colors). Mats shall not contain logos visible when unrolled and placed in entryways. Mat specifications are: Nylon, Polyester, Polypropylene, Other Synthetic Fabric, Tufted; woven; bonded to a solid rubber or vinyl backing; surface shall be carpet-like in appearance, cut and/or loop pile, non-staining, skid, and curl resistant, suitable for indoor or outdoor use, with borders and/or nosings. The contractor shall exchange all Entrance Walk-off Mats with clean mats twice a month. The exchange shall occur the second and fourth week of each month, on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, between the hours of 9:00AM Eastern Standard Time and 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time. The exact weekday for delivery should be requested with proposals. When the agreed upon weekday falls on a federal holiday or is otherwise compromised by federal closure due to weather, mats shall be switched on the next available business day. Performance will include one (1) twelve month base period and four twelve (12) month option periods. All communications shall be only in writing and shall be directed to the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialists identified above. Offerors shall not contact any Government personnel other than the persons identified above concerning this RFP. Contacting any Government personnel other than the individuals identified above, may result in an Organizational Conflict Of Interest (OCI) and may result in an Offeror being excluded from competition and award.
