The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) on behalf of the Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center – Rock Island (JMTC-RI) intends to issue a sole source solicitation restricted to Cummins, Inc. for the procurement of services to overhaul the Forward Repair System (FRS) Generators. The solicitation will be issue under U.S.C. 1901, as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1)(ii), Sole source under the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. Offers from sources other than Cummins, Inc. are not solicited. Cummins, Inc. is a large business. The United States Government (USG) anticipates issuing a formal solicitation on or around 15 July 2020. It is anticipated that award will be made prior on or before August 2020. The solicitation will result in the award of one Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The award will include three one-year periods of performance (POP). The total POP is from the date of award through 31 JUL 2023. The IDIQ will include a minimum quantity of 7 each, and a total maximum quantity of 35 each for the 3-year POP. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335312. The Technical Data Package (TDP) is Distribution A (authorized for public release). Interested parties are able to download all attachments from this Pre-solicitation notice. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database by accessing the SAM web site at http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for contract award.
