BES-III Battlefield Effects Simulator W900KK-18-BES Responses due no later than 8 Feb 2019 In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 9.205(a), "Opportunities for Qualification Before Award:" •1. It is anticipated that the Government intends to establish the following qualification requirement for an upcoming competitive procurement of Battlefield Effects Simulators (Round III): Offerors will be required to obtain a successful U.S. Government Safety Assessment [Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC)] of their equipment (battlefield effects simulators) prior to contract award. •2. Product: Battlefield Effects Simulator as described in attached DRAFT Statement of Work and DRAFT Specification; or, equivalent Battlefield Effects Simulator. •3. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded, which is subject to this qualification, in early 4th quarter of Government Fiscal Year 2019. •5. Note: When a product is submitted for qualification testing, the applicant must furnish any specific information that may be requested of the manufacturer before testing will begin. •6. Note: The approximate time period following submission of a product for qualification testing within which the applicant will be notified whether the product passed or failed the qualification testing is approximately 4 to 5 months. •7. Note: The response date applies to this FedBizOps posting only -- it does not represent a deadline for contacting the organization that does the qualification. However, if your company is interested in pursuing a qualification, you must notify the Contracts POC, Steve Gataletto, (for planning purposes) no later than the response date of 8 Feb 2019. •8.
