This Notice of Intent to sole source by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is in support of the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) with Vicon Motion Systems, Inc. for their wearable sensors. USARIEM requests sixty (60) wearable sensors that can be secured quickly and non-invasively on multiple military personnel to measure biomechanical data in training and operational environments. The Blue Trident sensor meets all of the minimum essential characteristics to obtain data required. The product will be used during research studies to identify relationships between biomechanics, performance and injury potential during military training. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing and PSC 6515 - Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
