Description of Requirement: The Medical Modernization Project Management Office (MOD PMO) of USAMMDA has a requirement to identify and procure a medical Food & Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) cleared commercial, Craniotome equipment for use in Army Deployed Medical Role of Care 2 and 3. The Craniotome equipment is used in neurosurgical procedures to remove a portion of the skull bone in order to expose the brain for visibility and surgical intervention. The portion of bone removed may vary in size depending on the trauma to be treated, which may include hematomas, traumatic head injury, foreign object removal (e.g. bullets, shrapnel), and other potentially life-saving interventions.
