Background/Overview: U.S. Army Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) in Frederick, MD is establishing future National Emergency Tele-Critical Care Network (NETCCN) simulation testing environment. The NETCCN aims to deliver emergency and critical care support to any location by providing deployable services. TATRC is seeking to purchase Thornhill Medical MOVES SLS all-in-one system that combines an oxygen concentrator, a unique O2-conserving ventilator, suction, and complete patient monitoring into a single, compact, battery-operated system. Its functions and capabilities align with the NETCCN efforts of providing deployable services to any locations. This system is manufactured only through Thornhill Medical at this time. No other system on the commercial marketplace offers the same capabilities or functions of the Thornhill Medical Moves SLC at this time. Without this system, TATRC and NETCCN’s missions providing care extensions to remote locations, including surge and forward operating environments, will be at risk for failure. This system is critical meeting and determining the capabilities of the NETCCN platform and for future deployments. Thornhill Medical has developed an all-in-one system that combines an oxygen concentrator, a unique O2-conserving ventilator, suction, and complete patient monitoring into a single, compact, battery-operated system. The Thornhill MOVES SLC is designed to support en route care during patient transport missions in addition to providing stationary life support capabilities.
