In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.215-3, "Request for Information for Planning Purposes", this RFI is for informational purposes only and is not a commitment by the Government. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD). This RFI is not expected to be a request for proposal (RFP) nor a invitation for bid. No evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No phone calls or requests for infomation will be entertained. Background: The Chemical Casualty Care Division (CCCD) of USAMRICD adminsters graduate level medical education programs. This program focuses on educating and training course participants with relevent tactics, techniques, and procedures with current equipment. The course requires course participants to wear chemical protective over-garments for various activities. For this reason, USAMRICD requires a service contract for laundry cleaning services. Requirement: The service requirements requires monthly off-site cleaning of Government owned barracks bags, laundry bags, Joint Service Lightweight Integrated Suit Technology (JSLIST) suit jackets, trousers, rags, huck towels, and head harnesses. A detailed list is attached. Information Requested from this Notice: Interested firms are encouraged to submit a white paper (statement of capabilities) in response to this RFI. The submission should address: -Description of a firms ability to clean/launder military/Government specific uniforms. -Description of past performance history of performing the same/similar support services to agenices within the Federal Government by specifying the nature of the services provided, services performed for which organization, and place of performance. -Description of business size to include cage code and DUNS number. Responses: Interested parties should submit a response electronically via email to erin.j.maddox.civ@mail.mil. No phone or fax responses will be entertained. Interested firms should submit a 1-3 page white paper that includes this RFI number, company name, point of contact/contact details, business size, and cage code. All information regarding capabilities statements or any other proprietary information relative to this RFI shall be marked appropriately. This RFI is issued solely or information/planning purposes only and it does not constitute a solicitation. Netiher unsolicitated proposals, nor any other offers will be considered in response to this RFI. Responses to this notice are not considered offers, and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsbile for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked proprietary will be handled accordingly.
