The USAMRIID Veterinary Medicine Division (VMD) requires the procurement of a Non-Human Primate (NHP) Training Simulator, which may be referenced as a NHP Trainer, NHP skills Trainer, or NHP Simulator, which will provide a comprehensive, timely solution to improve upon the VMD training program and ensure that federal regulatory requirements are maintained. The enterprise solution must support a variety of end users to include veterinarians, veterinary technicians, caretakers, PIs, and research staff. The NHP Training Simulator acquisition directly supports not only laboratory animal regulatory requirements, but also continued growth and development of the animal care technicians’ skillsets and supports the Army’s Laboratory Animal Medicine Residency Program.
