This requirement is for Hologic authorized tests, reagents, and supplies. During the global COVID-19 pandemic, the DoD purchased additional Panther and Panther Fusion systems that were strategically placed in Army, Air Force, and Navy medical treatment facilities (MTFs) and research facilities to augment existing diagnostic testing capabilities on Panther System platforms. Hologic authorized items are required to continue use of the Government owned analyzers for the detection of infectious diseases and future disease outbreak preparedness.
