In the event of solicitation discrepancies (e.g., errors, omissions, or points otherwise unclear or unsound), offerors shall immediately notify the KO in writing with supporting rationale. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads “W81K04-20-R-0020, RMW Services.” Please note this Amendment 0003 has major changes in submission directions of proposals please read directions completely to ensure proposal are accepted in a timely manner. Date and time to be arranged 48 hours prior to pick-up.” The Health Readiness Contracting Office (HRCO), Joint Base San Antonio Fort Sam Houston, Texas has a requirement to provide pick-up, treatment, and disposal Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) services in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA). The supported DHA facilities includes DHA medical treatment facilities (MTFs), United States (U.S.) Military Entrance Processing Commands (USMEPCOM), Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS), Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) facilities, and the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System (AFMES) throughout the 50 United States and U.S. Territories of Guam and Puerto Rico. The Contractor will be required to collect, transport, store and dispose of RMW, to include Department of Transportation (DOT) Category A infectious substances (i.e. Ebola virus, Hantaviruses causing hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, etc.), in accordance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations to include the processing of chemotherapy trace waste and pathological waste. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management, transportation, equipment, materials, certification, and training, except as specified as Government furnished, required to perform these services. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the Beta.Sam.Gov website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this website to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. PREVIOUSLY POSTED UNDER RFI # W81K04-20-R-0008 The U.S. Army Health Contracting Activity (USAHCA), Health Readiness Contracting Office (HRCO), U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) on behalf of the Defense Health Agency (DHA), has developed this Request for Information (RFI) to solicit market research information from industry to assist the Government with the analysis of a Government requirement and provide commercial insight on performance-based solutions, best practices, possible contractual arrangements, and potential issues. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This is not a Request for Proposal, a Request for Quotation, an Invitation for Bids, a Solicitation, or an indication that HRCO will contract for the items contained in the RFI. This RFI is part of a Government market research effort to determine the scope of industry capabilities and interest and will be treated as information only. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses to this RFI are strictly voluntary and the Government will not pay respondents for information provided in response to this RFI. Responses to this RFI will not be returned and respondents will not be notified of the result of the review. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on the Federal Business Opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that Solicitation announcement separately from any response to this announcement.
