Medical Readiness Contracting Office - Pacific hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). As a result, the Government intends to award directly to L1 Enterprises Inc, 618 W Patrick St, Fredricks, Maryland, 21701 in accordance with FAR 19.14.06. This requirement is expected to be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract be for a 5-year ordering period. This requirement is for the procurement for maintenance and repair services for Karl Storz – Endoscope. Only an authorize service provider can provide these services because the service and maintenance certifications are unique for Karl Storz Endoscopes. L1 Enterprises Inc is the only Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business available to provide these services as an authorized service provider. The attached performance work statement details the requirements of this anticipated contract action. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES; no solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies can provide supporting documents demonstrating their capabilities and certifications. The sources sought is being issued as a means of conducting market research to identify industrial capabilities that might exist in order to support an upcoming requirement for government Karl Storz Endoscopes and components preventative maintenance, repair, maintenance and replacement contract. For additional information regarding the technical specifications, please refer to the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS). Based on the responses to this sources sought notice, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition (unrestricted), the government intent at this time is for a single award. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, the government will not be providing evaluations or comments to companies providing sources sought responses, but the responses will be used to inform the government as to the best means of procuring this requirement. This sources sought is for informational purposes only. This is not a “Request For Proposal (RFP)” to be submitted. The estimated period of performance is from date of award through five years. Required Capabilities The Contractor shall provide Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) fully certified/qualified technicians to perform the preventative maintenance, repair, maintenance and replacement of the Karl Storz Endoscopes and components as described in the attached DRAFT PWS.
