This will be a firm fixed price purchase order for dry ice which will be delivered and used in the shipment of blood products from the Department of Pathology and the Army Services Blood Bank Center - Pacific Northwest (ASBBC-PNW), located at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA. The contractor shall provide weekly dry ice delivery services to ASBBC-PNW and the Department of Pathology.. The contractor shall provide all required failcilities, personnel, equipment, supplies, services, transportion, tools, materials, supervision, and other non-personnel items/services neccesary to perform dry ice delivery services as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). A rapid turn around time( TAT) for shipping blood and blood products is essential to the ASBBC-PNW's mission; the ASBBC-PNW is responsible for ensuring lood and blood products are always available. Hence, Blood and blood products must be available for local Military Treatment Facilities distribution and shipping to Armed Services Whole Blood Processing Lab-East (ASWBPL-E) the day after collection. The performance period will be from 1 October 2024 - 30 September 2029 a one year base plus four subsequent option periods, if exercised. it is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 6 August 2024.
