Presolicitation Notice to award under Solicitation: W81K0224Q0067 Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) (1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Medical Readiness Contracting Office-Pacific Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Health Contracting Branch, Lacey, WA, intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price award under solicitation W81K0223Q0067 to Roche Diagnostics, in the amount of $39,317.25 for replacement Cobas b221 Blood Gas Analyzer at Madigan Army Medical Center Tacoma WA. The current Government-Owned Cobas Analyzer has reached it Life Expectancy and will no longer be supported by the MFR. . The decision to maintain the choice selected was based on the following; Current system is at end of life and no longer supported for Preventive maintenance and repair. A new different system other than the Cobas II Blood Gas Analyzer would not be compatible or not have the ability to perform or report the Pleural Fluid pH Diagnostics, or be authorized by IMD for MAMC ATO network which this process would take up to a year for approval, and would also entail increased cost to the institution in the form of staff training, associated hardware costs with an entirely new configuration here at Madigan to allow for analyzed data to interface with Military Health System (MHS) -Genesis. This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications.
