The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific, in support of Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii, intends to make a sole source award to DAC (Technologies) Vision Incorporated for a firm fixed-price contract for the 7Ex Edger System for Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii. DAC Vision Inc. is the only company to provide this edger system utilized in processing ophthalmic lens that is already in use at TAMC’s Optical Fabrication Laboratory. The NAICS code for this procurement if 339115. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(i) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one responsible source, and no other suppliers will satisfy agency requirements. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirement under FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
