The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific, in support of Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC), Washington, intends to make a sole source award to BioMerieux, Inc. for the purchase of the BacT/Alert Virtuo; easyMAG; and the various reagents and consumables for use with the instruments. Use of the Vitek 2 and the Vitek MS is included with the purchase of the reagents and consumables for the Department of Pathology at MAMC. The contract will be for a 12 month base plus one 12-month option. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one responsible source, and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 325413. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Instruments to include VITEK MS. This is a Sources Sought Notice for Madigan Army Medical Center. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources and whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
