Th... Presolicitation Notice to Award Master BPA Solicitation: W81K0223Q0010 Pursuant to FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) Sole Source. (Including brand name) under the authority of simplified acquisition procedures. The U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Medical Readiness Contracting Office-Pacific Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Health Contracting Branch, Lacey, WA, intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price Master Blanket Purchase Agreement under solicitation W81K0223Q0010 to Sientra Inc. for a (5) year period to provide FDA Approved consumable supplies of proprietary Opus Gel Teardrop and Round Gel Implants, tissue, and related supplies. These implants are high-strength cohesive silicone gel implants offered by Sientra solely to board certified and board eligible plastic surgeons with a minimum of 14 years of formalized training. The Sientra implants retain their shape over other brands, because the gel is thicker and stronger than traditional implants. Sientra’s new silicon gel gummy bear implants are a high strength silicone gel which is both strong, and with all of their implant products they have the industry’s most comprehensive 20-year warranty and were shown to have lower long-term complication rates such as rupture, capsular contracture, and re-operation compared to other commonly available breast implant products that were FDA Approved. This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies can provide a Capability Statement and any supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications.
