The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific, in support of Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, intends to make a sole source award to Beckman Coulter, Inc. for the purchase of cytometry reagents and supplies to be compatible with the Government-owned Navios 8 Cytometer (analyzer) and TQ Prep Workstation, as well as training, maintenance & repair services, and laser upgrades to 10 color/3 laser field for the flow cytometry instruments. The contract will be for an 11-month base period only. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 325413. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. The Regional Health Contracting Office – Pacific intends to award a Firm, Fixed-Price contract for a base period to the successful offeror using FAR Part 12 procedures. The requirement is for cytometry reagents and testing materials to be compatible with the Government-owned Navios 8 and TQ Prep Flow Cytometer instruments, as well as maintenance, service, training and laser upgrades to 10 color/3 laser field for the flow cytometry instruments.
