Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Regional Health Contracting Office-Pacific (Joint Base Lewis-McChord Health Contracting Branch), Lacey, WA, intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price award under solicitation W81K0222Q0160 to Bloodworks for local geographical area procurement of Whole Blood, & Whole Blood Products used for specific patient surgical procedures, Emergency Department, patient in crisis intervention and other procedures to sustain patient life at Madigan Army Medical Center Tacoma WA. The Surgeon, Surgical Team & ER Physicians and Laboratory Staff have made the determination that these whole blood products will meet the salient characteristics in the performance of surgical procedures, patient diagnosis & treatments for a positive and full patient recovery outcome. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority 13.106-1(b) (1)(i). This notice is not a request for quote/proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capabilities and specifications.
