The Regional Health Contracting Office – Pacific, in support of Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital (BDAACH), Korea, intends to make a sole source award to Fernico, Inc. for the purchase of Cortexflo Photographic Examination System. This system is the only system that can meet the Government’s need. Fernico, Inc. is the sole provider of the Cortexflo Photographic Examination System. The authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is cited in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one source available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreement, brand name or industrial mobilization).
