The Regional Health Contracting Office – Pacific, in support of Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii, intends to make a sole source award to Immucor, Inc. for the purchase of immunohematology reagents and supplies with the use of Echo Lumena Analyzer. The contract will be for a 12-month base period plus four 12-month options. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code is 325413. This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified sources and whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. The NAICS code is 325413 and the successful vendor must be registered in the SAM with this NAICS. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate set-aside and acquisition method. The Regional Health Contracting Office – Pacific intends to award a Firm, Fixed-Price contract for a base period with up to four options to the successful offeror using FAR Part 12 commercial items procedures. The requirement is for immunohematology reagents and supplies to be compatible with the Immucor Echo Lumena analyzer to determine blood types, antibodies, cross match donors and recipients, and identify any unexpected antibodies that may cause a transfusion reaction. Interested vendors may submit in writing their capabilities and qualifications demonstrating their ability to fulfill the requirement identified in this notice.
