This implants are patient specific and surgery is scheduled for 26 January 2022. Zimmer US, Inc. is the sole provider of this implant. The statutory permitting this award without providing for full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 1401, as cited in FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement.
