The Regional Health Contracting Office – Pacific, in support of Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii, intends to make a sole source award to PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc for PerkinElmer Wizard 2 Gamma Counter. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), which authorizes the government to award contracts when the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available and no other suppliers or supplies will satisfy agency requirements.
