GENERAL INFORMATION Notice of Intent for Sole Source The Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii intends to award a firm fixed-price, non-personal services contract for the remote troubleshooting and problem resolution for the i-STAT Automated Manual Entry (AME) interface and HL7 Interface for Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii, in accordance with the specific tasks listed in the performance-based statement of work. Contractor personnel shall be trained and certified for maintenance service on the Government-owned Abbott i-STAT1 Analyzers. Contractor shall also provide, at no additional charge to the Government, replacement of products specified in the performance-based statement of work, which are deemed to be malfunctioning after consultation with contractor technical support personnel. Malfunctioning products covered under this contract will be replaced with a replacement product shipped to the Government’s designated location via an overnight courier, priority service when possible. This requirement is for a period of performance from 1 October 2021 through 30 September 2026, plus the FAR 52.217-8 option to extend. The proposed acquisition is intended as a sole source to Abbott Laboratories Inc. Abbott Laboratories is the only source that manufactures and distributes services for the Abbott i-STAT 1 Analyzer system. The server used for data management and result interfacing requires software upgrades, which is proprietary to and distributed exclusively by Abbott Laboratories. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code of this procurement is 811219 and the size standard is $22M.
