The Regional Health Contracting Office – Pacific, in support of Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital (BAACH), Korea, intends to make a sole source award to Siemens Healthineer for the purchase of Siemens Water Chiller and HVAC. These supplies are the only ones that can meet the Government’s need. Siemens Healthineers is the sole provider of these Water Chiller and HVAC. The authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is cited in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one source available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreement, brand name or industrial mobilization).
