The Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific intends to make a sole source award to Seongkohn Traders for the purchase of ThinPrep5000 Processor for BAACH, Korea. This system is required by the DoD for procedure testing. Therefore, these supplies are the only ones that can meet the Government's current need. Seongkohn Traders is the sole provider of the ThinPrep5000 Processors in Korea. The authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is cited in FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one source reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreement, brand name or industrial mobilization).
