The Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific, Hawaii intends to award a sole source contract to LivaNova USA, Inc for Vagal Nerve Stimulator Implants. This implant is patient specific and surgeries are scheduled for June 16 and 30, 2020. LivaNova USA, Inc. is the sole provider of this implant. The statutory authority permitting this award without providing for full and open competition is FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
